Sports Centre and PoolThe new Indoor Sports Centre and Swimming Pool will bring together the impressive outdoor sports facilities of the college with new indoor sports facilities. It will include 900m2 fully adaptable sports courts area; a 280m2 weights and aerobics room and new changing facilities for home and visiting teams for both outdoor and indoor sports. A new 25 metre, six lane swimming pool will be built which will provide facilities for the teaching of new water sports at the college.
The centre will be located adjacent to the Vincent Murray Park and will be linked to the main college building by a landscaped walkway. It will create a new central hub for indoor and outdoor sporting activity within the college. Architects for the project are Murray OLaoire Architects, and construction is scheduled to commence in 2009, with completion due in 2011.
