Getting to ClongowesMaking travel plans – from / to abroad. Allow for an overnight before the travel day. From Dublin Airport, Dun Laoghaire or Dublin Port (North Wall) allow one hour.(more in periods of heavy traffic between 8-10am and 5-7pm).
It is advisable to travel the day before and be fresh for the day itself. When planning a trip home, be sure to allow time to collect belongings, as well as for the usual travel delays.
1.Travel by Bus As an example of mutual support among parents, a bus is hired by a group of parents from these areas to take boys to and from the school.

- Limerick - Birdhill, Limerick City.
- SouthEast - Clonmel, Carrick-on-Suir, Kilkenny and Carlow.
- Wexford - Bunclody, Enniscorthy, Wexford Town.

Parking at the school From the main driveway, pass to the left of the Castle and park at the rear of the Castle. You are requested not to drive on any grassed area on the main or side avenues. There is a 20 mph speed limit on the avenues and a 5 mph limit near the college buildings. Speed ramps are on both avenues. Normal security precautions should be taken at all times and drive carefully.
Entering the school buildings Reception office;
In Castle. Office hours 09.00 to 13.00 and 13.30 to 21.00, seven days. (Mid term break, special events the office closes at 19.00.)
School Entrance Door;
As you face the Castle the school entrance is on your right.
Toilets:
Through the school entrance, through the concourse and to your right.
Other entrances and exits are open at varying times. |
