Annual FundClongowes Annual Fund is a collective initiative by the parents of boys attending the college.  Annual contributions to Clongowes Annual Fund finance a number of immediate development projects close to the everyday needs of the college.

Developments resourced by Clongowes Annual Fund each year include such projects as the refurbishment of the Lower Line Study, renovation of the Boys’ Chapel, the renewal of classrooms and purchase of educational equipment.

This year the Clongowes Annul Fund will support:

  • Fitout of the new Clongowes Library and purchase of a selection of books and periodicals.

The new Clongowes Library will provide students with regular access to quality reading materials. Due to open in Autumn 2008, it will include areas for formal and informal study; reading, research, multi-media facilities; and two peer tutor rooms for group study. It will be built in the renovated existing concert hall and will encompass a new glass conservatory area and refurbished entrance hall.

  •  Development of a new Family Lounge Area in the reception of the 1999 building.

The new lounge will include comfortable seating, small children's play area, and refreshment facilities giving parents a comfortable, relaxing place to meet with their sons when they visit Clongowes.

Choose the Clongowes Annual Fund Gift level that suits you…

Our challenge this year is to raise over €250,000 for Clongowes Annual Fund. Participation by all, regardless of size of gift is critical and represents a unique opportunity to support the College and its development plans.

We ask parents to consider a Clongowes Annual Fund gift at a level which best suits your own individual circumstances.  In considering the size of your gift please choose the ‘gift range’ which suits you best:

Clongowes Annual Fund Gift Ranges
Over €5,000
€3,000 - €4,999
€1,000 – €2,999
€100 - €999

New parents to the school are asked to support a specific Clongowes Annual Fund project for one year only.  Parents of boys in other years are asked to consider pledging an annual contribution (ideally by standing order to reduce administration costs) for the number of years that their sons will be at school.

"As a parent I am extremely grateful to the Jesuit community and all at Clongowes for their dedication and commitment to the education and care of my sons. In their time here our sons benefit from a rich educational experience and are given the opportunity to discover and develop their own unique talents and interests.

I welcome the continuing positive developments taking place within the college to enhance the experience of the boys, and the environment in which they learn. The success of Clongowes Annual Fund is essential to this and I hope that as parents and friends of Clongowes we can, as in the past, come together this year to make a significant contribution to the ongoing enhancement of Clongowes Wood College S.J."     Matthew Behan, Chair – Clongowes Annual Fund 2006-7
