The Clongowes Union

The Clongowes Union was founded in 1897.

Our objectives, as articulated in our Constitution, are as follows:

• To promote and maintain close contact between fellow Old Clongownians, past and current pupils, the staff and the Jesuit community in Clongowes.
• To support and assist Clongowes, and the Society of Jesus, in its promotion of education and its objectives for its present and future advancement.
• To assist the Clongowes Youth Club in its objectives and to provide financial and other support to the Club, including the provision of the expertise of members of the Union.
• To provide financial support to necessitous past students of Clongowes, or their dependents, through the Benevolent Fund.
• To support any other association or organisation whose ambitions are compatible with the objectives of the Clongowes Union.
• To further the Spiritual welfare of Old Clongownians.
• To exercise the Plan of Service
